This Summer, Bring the Heat—Not the Drama

Educators, we see you.

You’re juggling culture wars, curriculum chaos, parent and campus politics, student stress, and staff room stand-offs…all before lunch.

And somehow, you’re expected to teach, too…?

That’s why this July, we’re opening the Good Conflict Summer School just for you—superintendents, school leaders, teachers, counselors, deans, higher ed heroes—anyone navigating the beautiful complexities of education and the conflict that comes with it.

Here’s the scoop:

From July 8 to August 5, join us for a special educator-focused cohort of the Good Conflict Master Class—our signature training experience designed to help you transform workplace tension into clarity, connection, and (yes) even a little hope.

Featuring:

  • 3 live 60-minute webinars with Good Conflict founders Amanda Ripley and Hélène Biandudi Hofer to gather, experiment, and laugh (or cry) together

  • 2 high-energy, self-paced learning modules per week, packed with ready-to-use tools, surprising stories, and real strategies

  • Your own 56-page personal conflict playbook to refer back any time you need it

  • Full access to all 6 modules for 12 months

  • A cohort of fellow educators who get it—because they’re living it, too. In our live sessions, we’ll practice new techniques together, in a non-judgmental, confidential space

What You Will Learn:

The Good Conflict Master Class is broken into 5-minute, high-energy video lessons.

  • The problem, the solution, and what you’ll get from this course. A radical new way to think about discord. (Hint: Conflict is not the problem. High conflict is.)

  • Choose one case-study conflict from your past or present and work alongside Amanda and Hélène to map the hidden players, the four “fire starters” that lead to toxic conflict, and new openings. Get the conflict out of your head and onto paper–where you can see it more clearly.

  • Discover the four root causes driving every difficult conflict, from politics to gang violence to labor disputes. Learn the transformative “looping” technique for listening in conflict–along with 15 revealing questions to ask in difficult conversations.

  • Now that you know what a conflict is really about, you can dig into it constructively. Learn to issue the invitation, manage emotions, and prepare for tough conversations according to what actually works.

  • Identify strategies you can use to make healthy conflict easier–even normal–in your organization. Choose from a menu of evidence-based options (including the “magic ratio,” humor, music, “10% vulnerability,” and food…of course!) to embed healthy conflict into your team’s everyday rituals, habits, and routines.

  • Solidify your new Good Conflict skills with strategies for maintaining these practices and using your playbook effectively. When you finish Module 6, you'll know how to prevent common mistakes, adapt to new and evolving challenges, and prevent relapse into old habits.

This isn’t your average Professional Development. It’s for the moments when someone pushes your buttons…and you need to know how to respond. When everyone’s talking at each other—but no one’s really listening. For those parking lot conflicts, boardroom battles, and classroom challenges that leave you thinking: There’s gotta be a better way. Good news: There is.

Join us this summer for the Good Conflict Summer School.

  • "Personal relationships are gratifying. In contrast, the zone of high conflict is not fun. Good Conflict is the path where you don't have to choose either. You don't have to be silenced, and you don't have to give into really harsh conflict. There is a better way."

    — Anisa Sullivan Jimenez, Managing Director, Programming & Communications, Leading Now

  • “What I really appreciate about the Good Conflict [framework] is how concrete it is. It gives me language prompts to help start the conversation, continue the conversation, and frame the conversation with tools like the looping exercise so that I can practice and get better.”

    — Rima Dael, CEO, National Federation of Community Broadcasters

  • "The techniques from the course are very helpful in terms of making sure people feel heard. They're more ready to hear you, because they feel like they've been heard themselves."

    — Alex Marianyi, Volunteer State Coordinator & Congressional Liaison, Citizens’ Climate Lobby
